The Musée Départemental Albert-Kahn preserves collections of images, the garden and objects inherited from the creations and foundations of Albert Kahn.
Given the multiple identity of this property in Boulogne, simultaneously a development laboratory for the autochromes and films, a biology laboratory, a place for screenings, a printing house, a documentation center, a landscaped garden as well as the home of the banker, The Musée Départemental Albert-Kahn is the depository of a wide range of collections.
Albert Kahn, trying to understand humanity in all of its complexity and forms, worked in favor of a number of foundations, in close collaboration with the University of Paris, in the fields of education, culture as well as social, economic and political information meant for the nation’s major decision-makers in order to encourage peace through a better understanding of the world.
